Packed
with valuable tools, " Make Your Contacts Count: Networking Know-how for Business And Career Success by Anne Baber and Lynne Waymon " is a practical,
step-by-step guide for creating, cultivating, and capitalizing on networking
relationships and opportunities. Readers will discover how to cultivate current
contacts, draft a networking plan, avoid the top ten networking turn-offs, and
much more. Now completely revised and expanded, this book gives readers all the
help they need to supercharge their careers and boost their bottom lines.
After
reading the first 25 pages of the Make Your Contacts Count book, I implemented some of the points
Baber mentioned and it was amazing. If every young high school person read and
digested the info in this book, he or she would have a competitive advantage
over their competition. The info would help them through college and throughout
their careers. I love the no-nonsense approach to networking that's conveyed in
this book (I've now read the entire book, but will keep it as a reference
book).
I loved Make
Your Contacts Count.
Even if you don't think you need networking skills for your work, trust me,
you'll get a lot out of this book. It is filled with specific, lively examples
that spark your imagination and build your confidence that you too can be a
great conversationalist. I also like that it's based in values of trust and
mutual respect. Excellent resource.
